After photographing Griffin’s high school senior photos back in 2009 (omg) we’ve stayed Facebook friends since and I was overjoyed to see the notification that he and Billy were engaged! I met up with them in Sausalito for delish oysters and white wine and great convos before heading into the Marin Headlands to photograph their epic Golden Gate sunset portraits. I loved capturing their stylish and elegant yet laid-back styles and seeing them interact, laugh and love each other. I’m so happy these two found each other from Thailand and Oregon respectively in the Golden City.
Happy anniversary to these two amazing people! Raishelle and Riley got married on a magical late spring day at the spectacular Youngberg Hill. The skies quite literally took my breath away with the depth and dreamlike clouds. Raishelle wore a remarkable David Tutera dress that was perfectly her. The unique cake was done by Lux Sucre Desserts and dinner was catered by Willaby’s Catering and Event Design, serving the most delicious farm to table meal (just look at those bright red strawberries on the salad!). The night ended with Stumptown DJs putting on an epic dance party. The bride and groom broke it down on the dance floor with their guests all night! Thank you Raishelle and Riley for allowing me to photography your incredible big day!
Having the opportunity to travel to neighboring PNW cities to meet my lovely couples is an honor that I deeply cherish. I met adorable and fun couple, Christy and Addison, in Washington for their Seattle engagement! I loved the variety of Seattle we explored beginning with Volunteer Park Conservatory. The 15,000 square foot glass structure is a product of years of thought, design, and vision beginning as early as 1878 until its completion in 1912. The conservatory, originally modeled after London’s Crystal Palace, added its famous greenhouses by 1922. We continued our time together at various locations within Pike Place Market where the couple’s laid-back and sophisticated style shined. The quaint coffee shop, Storyville was a location for a many a date and the famous Gum Wall with over 20 years of gum stuck to it were just a few cool local spots we visited. We also discovered a nearby rooftop to capture some fab skyline photos that included the iconic Seattle Space Needle. SO happy for this smart and sweet couple who are getting married this August!
As soon as I met Patience and Egan we immediately clicked and ended up talking for hours about their world travels (Japan & Greece!) and where to find the best sushi in Portland! (Ichidai and Bamboo!) Egan fell for Patience when they met one another while at summer camp! These two are such a kind, beautiful, and empathetic couple who I had the pleasure of photographing their engagements at Mt. Tabor, a popular urban park in SE Portland known for it’s views and water reservoirs. With the Portland city skyline as our backdrop, we made our way to a few beautiful locations around this gorgeous urban park along with their cutie pie pup Corgie, Kevin. We headed to the waterfront for some iconic sunset photos with Portland in the distance. I’m honored to have captured the love between Patience and Egan as the sun peaked through the trees amidst mesmerizing sunset reflections on the river. I loved connecting with these two and Patience’s makeup and hair by Olivia Hawthorne. They are getting married this June at the Sentinel in downtown Portland and I just know that their day will be filled with so much love. Thank you Patience and Egan for allowing me to be a part of your story.
When you meet a couple that have been together for over a decade, have travelled the world, laughed and danced together, you know it’s going to be a truly incredible wedding adventure. Liz & Richard and I met up at the cherry blossoms at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park and had a blast in the blooms. Although it was scheduled to rain, we lucked out and had a great time. We then headed to the Japanese Gardens and made magic. Richard and Liz have a deep love of Japan and have travelled there. It was fun learning about the different garden features, ikebana and sensory experiences. It was a truly an amazing few hours spent with these two and I’m beyond excited for their wedding in wine country this weekend!
I had the pleasure of first meeting Kristina and Scott at their Oregon coast engagement session and now am honored to have been a part of their majestic day at their uniqueSilcox Hut wedding. Built in 1939, Silcox Hut was originally used as a warming hut but has now transformed into the ultimate mountain bed and breakfast. Sitting atop Mt. Hood at a staggering 7,000 ft and approximately 1,000 ft above Timberline Lodge, we had to take either snowcats or 4-wheel ATV’s up to the quaint hut. Being that Kristina and Scott are an adventurous and nature-oriented couple & I couldn’t have imagined a more fitting venue for their intimate wedding. Kristina looked absolutely stunning walking down the aisle makeup by the talented Olivia Hawthorne and hair by Pin It Pretty. I especially loved seeing Kristina’s son, Aiden, walk her up the stairs of the hut to the aisle. Surrounded by Silcox’s incredible wooden architecture, Kristina and Scott exchanged vows to one another in front of their family and close friends. I love that they incorporated a tree-planting ceremony of an evergreen, which they will later re-plant in their yard. At over a mile above the ground, we were above the clouds and were able to create some incredible sunset photos. Silcox is truly a magical place and I am so happy to have been entrusted with capturing the undeniable love Kristina and Scott share. Wishing many years of love and happiness to this kind & wonderful couple!
I had the best time photographing gorgeous couple Jackie and Jordan alongside their cute pup, Buddy! We captured stunning photos amidst the classic Portland sign and downtown along the Park Blocks. I love when the Portland Art Museum has epic displays that make for interesting and artistic backdrops. We then enjoyed some VIP access to gorgeous sun kissed rooms and an incredible rooftops inside a Portland high-rise. This was quite epic as I totally love photographing on rooftops and this rooftop was non-accessible to the public, so it made the experience quite incredible. Enjoying each other’s company high above the city as the sun set below Portland, Jackie and Jordan danced and laughed together as they toasted to a bright future. Wishing these two all the love and happiness and I’m so excited to be documenting their destination wedding in Napa coming this May. Jackie and Jordan- Thank you for choosing me to capture the undeniable love you two share!
Charlotte and Jack are a darling and fun couple that met in college and settled down together in North Carolina. I met with Charlotte and Jack during their stay at Charlotte’s family cabin at the stunning Black Butte Ranch in Central Oregon. Charlotte spent many childhood summers on the ranch and later brought Jack alongand together they felt this magical place should be a part of their engagement story. Hoping to get some fun canoe photos out on the water with the mountain landscape, we were told no due to high winds. We persisted and managed to get some great photographs while safely tied to the dock! With Mt. Washington and the Three Sisters in the distance, Char and Jack laughed, danced, and enjoyed the gorgeous Oregon sunset at golden hour. We had a total blast and I’m so happy for them as they are tying the knot in NC this weekend! Charlotte and Jack, I wish all the love and happiness and thank you fortrusting me to capture such a beautiful chapter in your forever story.
I had such an amazing time spending the afternoon with Hayley and Chad at their destination engagement shoot at Cannon Beach and Ecola State Park. Ecola State Park was the perfect spot to catch a gorgeous sweeping seascape with perfect views of Haystack Rock. This rock was made millions of years ago and now stands tall as a majestic Oregon Coast icon. Being able to photograph this sweet couple’s engagement session on Cannon Beach was very special since this happens to be the very location where Chad proposed to Haley. I loved how playful and fun they were as we watched the sunset and played in the Pacific Ocean surf. Passersby’s thought our shoot was an wedding because of Hayley’s white dress and Chad’s suit. (Easy mistake!) Although this time around it was not a wedding I would definitely come back to photograph a Cannon Beach elopement or any Oregon Coast wedding any day for that matter! This place has captured my heart and I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to capture the connection between Hayley and Chad.
